On Monday, May 15, 2023, His Grace Archbishop Bashar Warda, CUE Chairman of Board of Trustees and Chancellor, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Nazar Shabila, President and Vice-Chancellor, visited the Catholic University of America in Washington.
His Grace Archbishop Bashar Warda delivered a talk at Boston College under the title “Education is not for the faint of heart”, on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.
His Grace, Archbishop Bashar Warda, CUE Chairman of Board of Trustees and Chancellor, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Nazar Shabila, President and Vice-Chancellor, delivered a talk at the Harvard Catholic Center & YCP Boston (Young catholic Professionals) under the title “Finding Light in Times of Darkness”, on Monday, May 8, 2023.
As an act of appraisal for his efforts in the field of Education and Pedagogy and for founding many schools with different educational programs and a university with 12 academic departments, His Grace Archbishop Bashar Warda was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Theology by the Board of Trustees of the Walsh University (Ohio, the US) during the graduation commencement of the University’s students on May 6th, 2023.
Under the title “Free Service in the Church: AYM 2023 Volunteers”, a lecture was delivered by Fr. Savio Handula, St. Joseph’s Parish Priest for the volunteers of Ankawa Youth Meetings 2023, on April 20th.

With great Easter joy, the lay faithful participated in the Easter Vigil Mass at St. Joseph’s Cathedral, which was celebrated by H. G. Archbishop Bashar Warda, along with Fr. Savio Handula.
In his sermon, His Grace emphasized the importance of Christian unity, and on Christians being makers of peace for the future.
