CHALDEAN ARCHDIOCESE OF ERBIL
رئاسة أسقفية إيبارشية أربيل الكلدانية

Ankawa Youth Meeting

The Ankawa Youth Meeting (AYM) is the largest meeting for Christian youth in Iraq. Started in 2013 by the Archdiocese of Erbil, the initiative has been met with wild success resulting in subsequent celebrations in 2019 and resumed in 2022 following COVID-19 delays.

Organized by the dedicated Chaldean Youth Committee, the festivities are normally for three days and include catechesis for participants and time for prayer and community.

Drawing together young Catholics from different parishes around the country to celebrate their faith has incredibly impacted the Chaldean Church. Connecting more as the Body of the Church and allowing for testimony and experience to be shared at the Youth Meetings has contributed to young adults becoming the boulders lifting up the Chaldean community and helping to impact the world.
