Ankawa Youth Meetings – Day 3

The third day of AYM 2023 marked the last and concluding day for the event. The divine liturgy was celebrated by Archbishop Warda and the participating clergy at St. Joseph’s Cathedral. In his homily, Archbishop Warda emphasized the role of the priest as he celebrated the Eucharistic feast, receives the offerings, blesses them, leads the laity in prayer and leads the communion. The Archbishop highlighted the importance f the role of priests and requested prayers for them. Toward the end of the homily, Archbishop Warda revealed the upcoming title of next year’s AYM which will be about the Sacrament of Matrimony, which will take place later in August.

After the final blessing, Archbishop Warda thanked all the participating clergymen within the Archdiocese of Erbil, other archdiocese and those coming from outside the country, as well as all religious sisters participating. The Archbishop especially thanked the youth committee which organized the event with the Archdiocese’s volunteers.
