Chaldean Youth of Erbil opens the registration for AYM 2022

The Central Youth Committee of the Chaldean Archdiocese of Erbil has started the registration process for hundreds of youths from different cities and towns for the big upcoming event (Ankawa Youth Meeting 2022) at the Catholic University in Erbil.

During AYM 2022, different activities will be conducted for the participants. The discussion groups will be organized to discuss the topics and themes of the preparatory document for the Synod announced by Pope Francis, with a special focus on youth queries and their thoughts.

The Ankawa Youth Meeting 2022 will be held between 1-3 September 2022 in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

Preparatory meetings for AYM 2022

Since the beginning of July 2022, The Central Youth Committee of the Chaldean Archdiocese of Erbil organized several preparatory meetings for the upcoming event of AYM 2022, which is considered the largest for Chaldean Christian youth in the region.

The volunteers have taken multiple trainings and workshops on how to conduct the registration process for youth who intend to participate in the event. Further, other workshops were delivered in the past weeks to provide the needed skills for the volunteers.

The Chaldean Archbishop of Erbil, H.G. Bashar Warda, established this meeting in 2013, after the participation of Chaldean youth from Erbil in the Catholic World Youth Days.

Furthermore, the success of the conference lies in the increasing number of participants each year since its establishment in 2013.
