Easter Vigil: The Divine Liturgy Celebration at the Archdiocese’s Cathedral
“O death, where is thy victory?O death, where is thy sting?”
“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth;break forth into joyous song and sing praises!”
With great Easter joy, the lay faithful participated in the Easter Vigil Mass at St. Joseph’s Cathedral, which was celebrated by H. G. Archbishop Bashar Warda, along with Fr. Savio Handula.
In his sermon, His Grace emphasized the importance of Christian unity, and on Christians being makers of peace for the future.
His Grace also focused on the importance of the presence of Christianity in the region, as it is crucial on all aspects, without focusing on the quantity but rather the quality and result of their work and efforts.
Mentioning the future, H. G. Archbishop Bashar elaborated on the importance of supporting Christian youth, for them to be true representatives of the lay faithful and for their service, in all aspects of life such as social, political, and pastoral. Confirming that the church always supports youth and at all times.
