Under the title of “We Believe and Confess” Ankawa Youth Meetings (AYM) were launched in the summer of 2013, bringing together around 800 youth from different Chaldean dioceses across Iraq. The meetings were divided into three days of prayers, hymns, meditations, and more pastoral activities.

The first day of AYM started with a welcoming speech to all the youth given by Archbishop Bashar Warda, and a lecture about “The Challenges of the Faith”. The first day concluded with an evening of hymns.

The second day started with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy for all the youth in St. Joseph Cathedral. Following Mass, lectures in the form of catechism classes were presented, the divided into two parts regarding the topic of: “Explaining the Nicene Creed”. Between the two lectures, there was a lunch break for the youth. Moreover, the lectures were specifically about “The Life of the Faithful – Living the Sacraments” and “Living the Faith Through Penance”. The conclusion of the second day included a Eucharistic procession and an evening of meditations and prayers.

The third day started with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy. After Mass the meetings were concluded with some activities and lunch was served, this was the closing of AYM 2013.
