Good Friday: The Liturgy of the Passion at the Archdiocese’s Cathedral 

H.G. Archbishop Bashar Warda led the Liturgy of the Passion of The Lord, along with Fr. Savio Handula, at St Joseph’s Cathedral, and in the presence of H.G. Archbishop Nicadimus Matti Dawood Sharaf, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Mosul, Kirkuk and Kurdistan Region for the Syriac Orthodoc Church. 

After completing the prayers of the Good Friday Liturgy, H.G. Mar Bashar Warda spoke in his sermon about the meanings of forgiveness ,repentance and forgiving others, of which we find in both the Old and New Testaments of the Holy Bible. 

Furthermore, H. G. Mar Bashar emphasized what the Bible readings teache us: to open up our hearts before God, to confess our sins, and receive the forgiveness and mercy from our Lord Jesus Christ.
