Prayers over his body were held at St. Joseph Cathedral in Ankawa, where the faithful were able to pay their final respects starting at 1:00 PM. This was followed by the funeral prayer at 3:00 PM in the same cathedral, presided over by His Grace Bishop Bashar Warda, Archbishop of the Archdiocese, with the participation of Their Excellencies the Bishops: Mar Najib Mikhael, Mar Nathanael Nizar, and Mar Botros Moshe, along with a number of priests, monks, and nuns, and a large gathering of the faithful.
