The Work of Mary (Focolare Movement) Celebrates Silver Jubilee in Iraq
The Work of Mary (Focolare Movement) celebrated the silver jubilee of their presence in Iraq, on February 8th, 2024. The celebration of the divine liturgy was celebrated by H.G. Archbishop Bashar Warda, and concelebrated by Monsignor Charles Onka Sona, Secretary of the Papal Ambassador at the Papal Embassy, and Fr. Rebeen Zaki.
H.G. Archbishop Warda highlighted in his homily the importance of the principle of human fraternity and dialogue, which is built on mutual respect, and which the Work of Mary has proved to achieve through their activities.
After the Holy Mass, several members shared their personal experience with the Focolare Movement, among which was Archbishop Shlemon Warduni, who spoke about the beginnings of the Work of Mary in Iraq. The ceremony included a brief meditation, and a short film was displayed about the Work of Mary (Focolare Movement) around the world.
