Ankawa Youth Meetings – Day 2

The second day of AYM 2023 started with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at the Archdiocese’s parishes. After Mass, each parish had two lectures running for two youth groups, divided into 4 parishes. Lectures were delivered by: Fr. Fadi Leon, Fr. Alber Hisham, Fr. Janan Shamil, Fr. Qais Mumtaz, Fr. Nader Michelle SJ, Fr. Karam Qasha, Fr. Savio Handula, Sr. Luma OP.

After the lectures, the program continued at the CUE campus where youth shared lunch and enjoyed sports and entertaining group activities and games. Later in the evening, the football championship final took place, between the Archdiocese of Erbil and the Archdiocese of Baghdad teams; the match concluded with a result of 2-0 for the Archdiocese of Erbil.

After dinner, the Patriarchate’s Choir (Kukhy Church Choir) delivered a Liturgical Chants’ performance at Saints Peter and Paul Church. Following, the program resumed with a Holy Hour along with hymns, Biblical meditations, and Confessions.
