A Year of Liberation: Freedom from Spiritual and Emotional Bondage An Educational Meeting for Catechism Students on the Jubilee Year

As part of its ongoing activities for the Jubilee Year, the Central Committee for Catechism of the Archdiocese organized a spiritual and educational gathering for middle school students from the parishes of Ankawa. The event, titled “Jubilee Year: A Year of Liberation,” was held on March 7 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church. It was also attended by students from St. Joseph, St. George, and Mother of Perpetual Help parishes.

Sr. Nazek Khaled, O.P. led the session and highlighted that the Jubilee Year offers an opportunity for spiritual and psychological liberation, as well as a chance for change and renewal. She emphasized that this is a time for freedom from the chains of spiritual and emotional bondage, inviting everyone to embrace a life full of hope and transformation.

Following the educational session, the students were divided into small groups for discussion and reflection, guided by their mentors. The gathering concluded with recreational activities that promoted a sense of community and fellowship among the participants.

This event was part of the larger efforts to engage the youth in meaningful spiritual growth during the Jubilee Year, encouraging them to live out their faith with hope and renewal.
