Radio Mariam Erbil Organizes Rosary Prayer at Mar Yamana Shrine with Wide Participation

In an atmosphere that filled the community with faith and uplifted spirits, Radio Mariam Erbil organized a Rosary prayer gathering at the Maryamana Shrine on the afternoon of Friday, May 16, 2025.

More than 1,000 faithful came together to offer prayer and reflection, with the blessing and presence of His Excellency Archbishop Bashar Matti Warda, Archbishop of the Chaldean Archdiocese of Erbil, along with esteemed clergy, religious sisters, and deacons.

The prayer was broadcast through the global World Family of Radio Maria network, allowing many faithful to join in this blessed event from abroad.

Radio Mariam Erbil continues its efforts in organizing religious events aimed at reviving the Christian spirit and building cohesive community among believers, remaining a voice of hope and faith in the region.

Archbishop Warda praised the vital role played by the radio in spreading heartfelt devotion and love and in strengthening the teachings of Christianity among believers.

In his address, His Excellency affirmed that Radio Mariam is not merely a media platform, but a spiritual mission that reaches the hearts of believers everywhere, commending the efforts of those behind it in delivering the voice of the Gospel.

Archbishop Warda concluded his message to Radio Mariam by reminding us from where comes our hope and success—Jesus Christ through Mary.

“O our Mother Mary, bless the voices that glorify God and honor you with sincere love through Radio Mariam, which reaches every corner of the world.

We thank them with all our hearts. We thank everyone who works in this blessed radio—from presenters, producers, and technicians, to everyone who contributes to spreading the Word of God and hope among people. They are silent soldiers, serving with a sacred mission, bringing the voice of the Gospel into homes and weary hearts.

How many people have found comfort or rediscovered their path to God through a prayer, reflection, or hymn broadcast on Radio Mariam. We thank you for accompanying us in moments of loneliness and hardship, and for opening a window of hope in the midst of the world’s noise.

O Virgin Mary, bless their efforts and protect them. May the voice of Radio Mariam continue to shine as a light guiding the paths of faith for all who listen.

Thank you from the heart. Together with you, we sing: ‘My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.’”
