Catholic University in Erbil and Walsh University of Ohio sign an MOU

Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. – Proverbs 16:3

Since establishing the Achdiocese’s Catholic University in Erbil, H.E. Mar Bashar Warda has always worked with many efforts to provide opportunities of education to youth. He stated “Educational institutions make one’s country into the superpower that it is. Educational systems empower and form the young to build the country whilst at the same time build themselves.”

Thus, on November 14, 2022, a delegation from CUE visited Walsh University in Ohio, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two institutions. This delegation was headed by H.E. Mar Bashar Warda, Chairman of board of trustees and CUE Chancellor. He was warmly welcomed by Dr. Tim Collins, the President of Walsh University.

This MOU will help both universities to establish a partnership, where exchange of staff, faculty, and students are possible. Focusing on education, the key for a thriving community.

Furthermore, H.E. Archbishop Warda asserted the importance of this collaborative relationship, “a sign of a genuine desire to advance higher education studies in both institutions.”

Similarly, Dr. Tim Collins emphasized the commitment of Walsh University to this collaboration.

Also, during his visit H.E. Mar Bashar Warda celebrated the Divine Liturgy at Walsh University.
