4 days’ workshop by Father Alber Hisham

From June 24 to 27, the Chaldean Archdiocese of Erbil held a four-day training workshop for 104 catechism teachers at St. Peter and Paul Church, led by Father Albert Hisham. The workshop focused on preparing teachers for the upcoming summer activity program. This is a crucial time for the spiritual and personal growth of children and youth in the community.

Throughout the sessions, teachers gained practical tools and confidence to engage their students in meaningful ways. They learned how to make lessons more interactive and relatable, explored creative ways to share their faith, and discussed strategies for building deeper connections with their students.

The workshop also fostered teamwork and camaraderie. Teachers shared experiences, exchanged ideas, and supported one another, ultimately strengthening the community.

Father Albert Hisham’s leadership was central to the event. His reflections and encouragement reminded everyone that their role goes beyond teaching—they are mentors and role models in faith. Prayer and moments of spiritual reflection added a deeper element that helped participants reconnect with their purpose and commitment to ministry.
