The Catechism Center Celebrates the Jubilee Year in the Chaldean Archdiocese of Erbil.

The Catechism center of the Chaldean Diocese of Erbil organized a special celebration on Friday, January 31, 2025, to mark the beginning of the Jubilee Year activities, held at the Sts. Peter and Paul Church Catechism Center in Ankawa. The event began with a festive procession, where participants carried the cross and the Jubilee Year symbol, “Pilgrims of Hope”, making their way to the Church of the Apostles, where attendees gathered to pray the Jubilee Prayer.

His Excellency Archbishop Bashar Warda delivered a heartfelt address reflecting on the meaning and spiritual significance of the Jubilee Year, highlighting its educational and faith-forming impact. Following the prayer service, the students returned to their classrooms to take part in special educational activities tailored for the occasion, aimed at nurturing the values of faith and hope. The Catechism Center continues to welcome children across various levels, offering catechism programs that support their spiritual development. Catechism for middle and high school students is also ongoing in their local parishes. These celebrations serve as an opportunity for parents to actively engage with the Church and encourage their children to attend catechism classes regularly, helping them grow in faith and live out an authentic Christian witness in their daily lives.
