Mar Qardakh International School hosts Portal to the East and West Exhibition
Students from MYP1-HS2 (ages 11-18) enthralled their audience of parents and guests by transporting them back in time to the cultures of ancient and medieval East and West. From the sandy beaches of Oman to the spotless marble of ancient Rome, the exhibition offered a glimpse into the costumes, food, traditions, arts, and even drama of past civilizations.
Civilizations on display included Kurdistan, Iraq, Oman, Turkey, China, India, Rome, Greece, Native Americans, Vikings,
Mar Qardakh International School enrolls 580 students in an English speaking international environment that emphasizes a student-centered education from K-12. The school was founded in 2011 by His Grace Archbishop Bashar Matti Warda.
